My World of Warcraft account will be expiring very soon. As a result, I will no longer be able to maintain my addons. Anyone who wishes to take them up is allowed to, so long as my name (Avalanche) remains in the LUA file and in the addon description.
Whenever someone in your party is getting attacked, a message will appear alerting you. This message appears near the center of your screen, below where the SpellAlert addon displays its messages.
/ta status - displays current configuration
/ta < on | off > - enables/disables the function of this addon
/ta < short | full > - chooses whether to display short or full alerts
/ta class < on | off > - enables/disables showing of class names within alerts
/ta maxraid < amount > - maximum raid size to display alerts for
/ta showsub < on | off > - enables/disables showing of a raid subgroup within alert
/ta < druid, hunter, mage, ... >
Short alert: Player [Subgroup] (Class) :: Monster
Full alert: Player [Subgroup] (Class) is being attacked by Monster!
As of version 0.15, message toggles are now based on player classes instead of their armor types. The colors of the alerts are the same as before.
I'm happy to announce raid support as well! Currently, TankAlert only searches for members up to a certain threshold (configurable with /ta maxraid). The default is 10, which is now the biggest pre-Zul'Gurub instance. There is nothing wrong with increasing the search amount, but it may decrease performance (untested), so use at your own risk.
This should now also be compatible with other languages. The only possible exclusions are languages that have a non-English sentence structure (ie: Fireball of the Sorcerer instead of Sorcerer's Fireball). However, I have not been able to personally test on any languages besides English (this is why it still only says EN compatible for now). I'd appreciate it if someone could do this for me. Note that this only lets the addon _function_ properly under different languages, this does not translate any of the text.
